What this site does not do

We set no cookies. There are no tracking pixels, no Google Analytics, no advertising networks and no social media buttons.

All fonts, images and scripts are hosted on our own server. Opening the page establishes no connection to third parties. Your IP address is therefore not passed on to anyone.

When you open the page

The web server records technical details in a log file each time a file is requested: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system, and the page visited before.

Purpose and basis: operation, security and fault finding. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in running the site without disruption, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Retention: the logs are deleted after seven days at the latest.

Sample orders and project enquiries

If you submit one of the forms, we process the details entered there: name, company, email address, delivery address as well as your information about the project and your message.

Purpose and basis: handling your enquiry and sending the samples. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Retention: we keep the enquiry for as long as it is needed to deal with it and to answer follow-up questions. If it leads to an order, commercial and tax retention periods apply.

The details are sent to us by email and stored in our mailbox. They are passed on to third parties only where this is necessary for delivery, for example to the carrier handling the sample dispatch.

As a rule nothing is kept on the server. Only if sending the email fails does the server store the enquiry so that it is not lost. This fallback copy is deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.

Protection against spam: to stop programs from misusing the forms, we check a field that is invisible to you, the time elapsed since the page was opened and the number of enquiries from the same connection. For this your IP address is turned into a checksum that cannot be reversed. The IP address itself is not stored and the checksum expires after one hour. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting

The site is hosted by dogado GmbH in Germany. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with dogado.

Your rights
